Everyone can benefit from counseling in some way. Just as we visit a dentist for dental health and a doctor for physical health, our mental and emotional well-being sometimes requires the support of a therapist. If you're dealing with anxiety or depression, therapy can equip you with new skills to find happiness. During tough times, having someone to listen or offer a fresh perspective can be invaluable. Therapy can also strengthen family bonds or provide new parenting resources. For couples facing communication or connection issues, therapy can help rekindle romance.
Therapy is not typically like its pop culture depiction. Many envision it as reclining on a couch while an older therapist frequently asks about feelings. In truth, therapy provides an unbiased listener, a space to explore perspectives, a safe environment for processing difficulties, and a chance to acquire skills that enhance life quality.
Your therapist will collaborate with you to determine how often sessions should occur, based on your needs and therapy goals. Please note that new clients cannot be scheduled for monthly sessions, as this doesn't allow sufficient time for the therapist to understand your situation, work on your goals, and monitor progress. As improvements are made, you can discuss the possibility of transitioning to monthly sessions if recommended and available.
Confidentiality is a cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship, ensuring that all information shared during sessions remains private and secure. Therapists are legally and ethically bound to protect your privacy, meaning they cannot disclose what you discuss without your explicit consent. There are a few exceptions to this rule, such as if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, or if required by law. Therapists adhere to strict standards to maintain a safe and confidential environment, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings openly and honestly.
Currently, we accept checks, debit cards, credit cards, HSA/FSA, ecclesiastical pay, and cash. For those paying out of pocket or out of network, we do offer discounts. Please call our office for more pricing information. A session may run anywhere from 50-60 minutes.
At this time, we are an in-network provider for:
Aetna
SelectHealth
EMI
Blue Cross Blue Shield
PEHP
DMBA
Cigna
For all other insurances, we are able to provide a Superbill for you, you can then submit a superbill to your insurance company for reimbursement, as it acts as a detailed receipt of the care received. While not a guarantee of payment, a superbill allows individuals to potentially recoup some therapy costs, depending on their insurance plan's out-of-network benefits.
We understand that finances may be a factor so B Cool Counseling is happy to accept the following forms of payment:
Flex Spending Accounts
Health Savings Accounts
Ecclesiastical Pay
Checks, debit cards, credit cards, and cash
**Please note that while we make every effort to verify your benefits, ultimately, you are responsible for knowing what your insurance provider covers. You may have a deductible and it may be separate from your medical deductible. In addition, your mental health benefits may be handled by a third party that is outside of your medical insurance provider. We encourage all clients to check their benefits with their insurance provider.
